Tom Aspinall put on another first class show in front of the home crowd, which he spiced up by winning the first round.

There was no idea how the Englishman would recover after returning from such a challenging injury, and now we know. The year-long layoff has awakened a great hunger for success in the 30-year-old fighter, which he began to satisfy at UFC Fight Night 224.

Tybura, seven years older, had his work cut out for him to match his opponent's ferocity. In the first minute, Aspinall unloaded on him, landing a punch that sent his opponent to the floor and subsequent hammerfists completed the destruction.

"It's a relief when you can come back after such a long break and hear the crowd chanting. It's great to have delivered a quality show and finish before the limit, but the journey definitely doesn't end there," said the fighter, who took home a bonus for the best performance of the night in addition to his win.

"What's next? Now I'm going to Paris and I'm going to sit in the front row for the Ciryl Gane vs. Sergey Spivak fight. Whoever wins, I will challenge him and beat him as well. And then I'll beat Jon Jones too!" the talented fighter cheered during his post-fight speech.

With other heavyweights also watching the London tournament, Aspinall got an almost immediate response. "Great performance Tom, but be careful what you wish for... See you in Paris," tweeted Cyril Gane, who clearly welcomed the plan.
